Replacment fork for Merckx track bike
(click on any image to enlarge).
The owner of this wonderful Merckx track bike wanted to run a front brake. The original fork isn't drilled for brakes, nor was there much room to put a brake as the tire to crown clearance
is very tight on this bike (as it is on most track bikes with out brakes). While I could have duplicated the style of the original fork (almost exactly) we decided if you're getting a new fork, why not have some
fun with it? The new fork will have the same geometry as the old so the bike will handle the same, but instead of chrome with curved blades it is going to be black with straight blades. And the original fork will
remain shiny, clean, and un-drilled!
